Heh

Another remix of an ever-so-popular song. I must admit, it's pretty damn good. Nice job, mate. It's been a while since I checked out your work.

Very nice.

At first I thought it sounded like a church song, but then I noticed the title :)

Very nice melody. I don't see any flaws beside the shortness of the song and the ugly cymbal, might wanna use one that sounds better. Drums are rather simple but they work. Nice use of toms as well.

Another minor detail would be that it sounds too midi-ish. You could have added more reverb with a touch of delay, but that's my personal opinion. Overall, it's a nice song with an upbeat sound suitable for kids. Nice work :D

Hmmm.

The AP works in funny ways, doesn't it? If it ain't happy hardcore or another cliche'd videogame remix, it doesn't get any recognition. Truly sad.

Very nice track. Loving the guitar (I take it it's a guitar with a pulled down whammy bar?), the piano and its dynamics, and the drums which fit in quite nicely. Superb recording quality and great mastering. It's a shame the song is so short, it felt like it was about to develop into something bigger.

Regardless, keep it up.

Thanks for your support! Even recognition from the few makes me smile. :)

Hmm.

You should try using better samples and synths for your songs. The melody and drums are nice, but the sounds you used are rather bland.

Keep practicing though, not bad :D

Assios responds:

Thanks for your praise and suggestions! :D

Awesome.

I really hate having to review tracks when I have very little to say other than "it's very good".

The piano is wonderful as usual. The only thing that bugs me is the sax soundfont you used, you could have used a much better one.

The best part of the song is the intro to me. I gotta admit the song didn't turn out to be what I expected based on the intro, but it's still a very nice track. Keep it up, 5'D.

WritersBlock responds:

Thanks! I haven't looked at all the soundfonts I've got yet, so I don't know how much better I could go with the sax. I'll probably try and get a live sax next time. Yeah, I guess a lot of people thought that the music would be more epic, and I came out with a bit of a minimalist selection.
Cheers for the 5, and the review.
Appreciated.

Quite nice.

Well now, you just keep improving and improving, don't you? Very nice track, pretty jazzy tune, nice sax soundfont as well. Loving the percussion on this one.

May I ask why you never add reverb to your piano though? :P

Can't give you anything more than that to be honest, it's a well-rounded track.

Hmmm.

Not a fan of the beat, but that's just because I don't like the styles. They are well-crafted though.

It sounds like you used the FL Peak Controller in your song, but I'm not sure if you used FL to begin with. It sounds awfully similar to one of the tutorial songs, coincidence?

It's still a nice melody that blends with the drums though, nice use of sound FX too.

p4c responds:

haha nope i use reason, i tried fl with my friend before tho [the result is in another submission] but i jst dont know it well enuf to do much with it haha. tho the effect is the same--its called sidechaining, involves compressors if ur interested.

yeah it doesnt seem that house is very popular around these parts, but ill still crank out some eveery now and then. thx for the rev :)

Very nice.

Don't you just hate when you're worked your ass off and your song has reached the bottom of the least with merely 5 votes and 1 review?

Very good song, catchy indeed. The melody is pretty lovely the sound effects are pretty good, it's a shame the kick off is so weak, but it's still pretty decent. The drums are fine, though with some mastering, you shouldn't worry about them drowning the synths. One thing bugs me though, the crash sounds very FPCish to me, I'd suggets using a better one.

Great use of Sytrus, I wish I were as good with it ;P Keep it up.

ErikMcClure responds:

Should I make my own crash in sytrus then? :P

Well actually earlier in the songs development the drums were crushing some of the other instruments because of compression issues and I never actually turned them back up when I should have.

Well now

This is one of the better punk bands I've listened on NG. And the vocals don't sound like a pussy singing, so it's good <3

I was going to make a lengthy review based on the individual talents on every member, but you all compliment each other really well. Special props to the drummer, he's quite good.

Track's too short though, and a proper solo would have been nice. Still nice job.

ChucksNation responds:

Non-pussy vocals IS good :)
For a punk song though it's not that short, almost 3 minutes hehe
Thanks for the review

Not again...

It's the same thing every time, Jurian. As usual, your melodies are great and very creative, but you never add any reverb to that wonderful piano D: I could be wrong, but the piano sounds offkey at 0:34-ish. The samples you used are fairly decent, but since the song is amazing, I won't comment much on them. I absolutely love the instrument that kicks in at 1:00. The melody and rhythm (sp?) accompany each other really well. I also love the harmonica-ish (I know it's probably not a harmonica, shoot me :P ) sound that kicks in, I suppose it can be considered a solo, and a very nice one. This is easily one of my favorite tracks from you, hell, it even reminds me of Harvest Moon haha. Downloaded and 5'd, keep it up mate :D
