Banging.

I have very little to say other than it sounds great. I tried growling to it and recorded it. Turns out I sound like I'm taking a shit, but that's alright, I'll try putting effort into it next time.

If you really want death metal vocals, say the word and I'll /try/ to come up with something decent and serious. I suck though, so no promises :D

Keep it up.

XxCowMeatxX responds:

thanks for the review man.

and yeah... i cant promise anyone that i will use there vox. but i love to hear everyone try. i usually pick out the best one. so go for it man. i cant wait to hear it.

Great track.

I can definitely tell you were influenced by Dream Theater, rock on. Listen to Opeth by any chance? There's a hint of Opeth influence in there too :D

Gorgeous piano, kudos to Gorekiller. It makes it feel more progressive. The intro solo is my favorite part, I'll admit, but the ending is excellent as well.

Overall, great track. Downloaded and 5'D.

Thanks for commenting on my song by the way, had to return the review :D

Sonofkirk responds:

Yeah Gorekiller is amazing, but it seems that people don't like the piano part ... personaly, this is my favorite part ^_^.

Hum ... I never listened to Opeth, but a LOT of people said me in the reviews that this song is very Opeth-ish. So I will give them a listen.

Thanks for reviewing me back, bro. And thank you for faving and fiving !

Wow.

I must say, this is an excellent piece you have here, better than my entry I'll admit. I love the soft piano you used. The FL orchestral strings aren't all that bad IMO. Sure, there are better out there (I'd give you soundfont names but I lost mine when I reformatted my disk), but these strings works.

I'm curious, which piano are you using? It sounds excellent and I would love getting it if you don't mind :P

Good luck on the MAC!

BlazingDragon responds:

Thank you very much for the review. The FL Strings sound decent when used for textural purpose in the background, but do horribly when exposed. I use the SquidFont Orchestral soundfont, now. As far as the piano goes, it is called "MIS Stereo Piano". I found it on Blackhole12's profile and love it dearly. It is actually a direct wave sample and not a soundfont, though it should still work in FL Studio. (It does for me and my FL Studio 8 Demo) You can find the link on this page:

Good luck to you as well in the MAC! :D

Wow.

I must say, I'm impressed by the quality of the sound as well as the composition of the track. Love that rhodes piano. The guitar's tone is superb (as well as the recording quality) and the drums are nice.

The only problem I see with the track is the length. Its shortness is very disappointing.

But otherwise, it's a great job. Keep it up, fave'd as an artist.

No1r responds:

Thank you for listening, GronmonSE!
Yes, the track is a little bit short..this was intended to be a try! :)
And..good luck for MAC8!

Hmmm.

This is odd. It's catchy and very raw if you ask me. Normally I'd give it a worse score, but I like the melody and the simple way you put this together. Nice job, mate. Might remix it if I have time, with your permission of course ;)

Depressing melody.

Grozlam responds:

Yeah, if you want to remix it, go right ahead

Thanks for the review!

Very nice.

I had to download the song and put it in my iPod (God knows it'll stay there for a while :D) to listen to it because my pc headphones suck.

I love how you put this track together. The first part sounds nice, very good composition. The high frequencies kinda bug me though. The way you introduced the drums was excellent, although I think there's too much reverb on them and they drown out the melodies. Otherwise, very nice and bassy. I think trance would be a more fitting genre, not entirely sure though, not very good at determining electronic genres.

Crazy bass after 4:20. I love it, even though I've never been a fan of such basses. It's a nice riff (not sure if riffs apply to techno) and goes great with that strong kick and snare you have.

Overall, it's a great track with a few "flaws" (which could depend on the perspective of course). Too much reverb IMO and too bassy, but that might be just me. It would definitely sound amazing in a club though. Nice instrumental and effects choice, although the mix isn't very clean as a result of all the instruments.

Still, great job.

Dj-GloStix responds:

I totally agree, i had so much to put in this song but I ended up taking it out because it made it so confusing to listen to.
Yea, little too much reverb, I got too excited at how kool my beat sounded xD
It's kinda hard to get the perfect amount of bass. took me 5 renders to get it the way it is. It still crackles a bit but after spending about a month on this I let it slide.

Thanx for the in-depth review =]

Hah

You should just make a folder with all your music because it'd most likely end up in my iPod. I'm getting tired of repeating myself everytime I comment on your stuff, but keep doing what you do best because I love it <3

Did I ever tell you that your music is both a source of inspiration as well as a huge turn off? It inspires me to get better(which is hard) and push my own limits (even though our music is different). It's a huge turn off because I know that I'll never get as good as this. But regardless, I find myself getting inspired by it more often.

Cheers.

nubbinownz responds:

Don't ever think that you'll never get as good as you want to be. Remember to make music in the way that you want to hear it. If there is a sound or an idea that you want to hear, learn how to do it and do it.

thank you for the super review man.

Very nice.

Viva Mexico, cabrones :D

Ahem...

Great song. I love how all the instruments blend in flawlessly. The introduction of strings is excellent and they add a lot to the piece. The only "problem" I see is the cymbal used in 1:15 . I feel like it doesn't fit in with the rest of the instruments. As a matter of fact, I think it's awful :P

Imagery...mine's slightly different. It reminds me of childhood more than anything else. Probably someone getting a flashback, thinking about his dearest moments as a child.

Very peaceful track, nice work.

Fuoco responds:

VIVA!!

I'm not quite a patriot anyway...

About the cymbal, it was originally written for a rock drumkit cymbal and I found something similar in GPO. The weird thing is that in the actual playing it sounded the way it sounds now, and it's the same cymbal I used for my other song "The Wind Warrior". Weird, maybe it's not the same but it's still confusing. Maybe that cymbal preceded by a reverse cymbal would make it sound better, but I don't feel like adding or changing anything at the moment.

The flashback imagery is nice. To tell the truth, I wasn't thinking of anything when composing this song. Once finished, I had to think of something say in the author comments. But shhh! Don't tell anyone! ;D

Thanks for reviewing!

'Bout time :D

Besides the crit I gave you somewhere else, it's pretty good :D

Keep it up.

Sonicist responds:

Thank you, and will do.

Pretty good.

Fits a medieval-looking game perfectly, very magestic sound. All the instruments blend nicely and the composition is excellent.

Not much else I can say to be honest. It's a really good loop, nice work.

Jazza studios...same guy who produced The Composer if I remember correctly :D Looking forward to the game.

DavidOrr responds:

Thanks!

The game is really fun, it's definitely worth trying out!
