Wow haha.

Me recuerda a "Maggot Brain", de Funkadelic. It's pretty good, keep it up.

Gian responds:

Haha, Funkadelic eh? the sound in the intro have a weird meaning, It is from a card with sound that my girlfriend gave to me in san valentines day hehe.. and I just had the idea to make it a song, and give a meaning to that melody.. And the song feels awesome if you close your eyes and just fly with the sound.. Most of my music is like that hehe.. well, enough said! thank you :P

Bitchin'

No other words can describe it, nice job.

jnry3 responds:

Hey thanks! ^_^

Very nice.

Long time no see, you reviewing whore :D

First thing I noticed were the offkey notes. I'm pretty sure something sounds funny at 0:29 and 0:50, among other instances. The thick lead synth (bass >_>) is rather...eh. Whilst it's very catchy, I don't think it goes well with the theme. It SCREAMS Donkey Kong though. I can't remember what the snowy mountains in DK1 sounded like, but it reminds me of the game (much like your previous track).

The song's best aspect is the mood by far. The dreamy piano is truly wonderful. The drums work well, no objections there. The pads are wonderful too, they help create that "Northern Light" feeling. Not a fan of the piano that kicks in at 3:02, but that's just me, I'm sure others love it.

Overall, a good song. I'm not a fan of 9's, so have a 10 :D Nice job.

Question by the way, how do you err.....promote your music? Do you just post it in the Audio foruming praying that there's no 0 bombers lurking around?

Eh...

@LastEncore: Gee, I wonder why. Maybe because it's a -cover-, good sir? The original song was written by Slayer, and GB clearly gives credit to them.

Anyway. I like the actual version a lot more. I honestly don't see the point in covering songs and submitting them to the AP unless you add your personal touch to them. And the drum work was just....terrible. I respect you as an artist, but I prefer your original material ;)

Regardless, gave it a 4.

GoreBastard responds:

Thanks for the constructive criticism man.
I totally agree, this sounds FUCKING SHIT!!! I rushed the drums and was too lazy to fix the countless guitar mistakes, of which there should have been none, since the song is so easy to play! baahhh!

Cheers and beers

Eh..

The riff's quite decent. The drums nice serious work though. The beat is not bad, it's just that the samples suck. You should bring out the kick drum more and change that horrible crash cymbal. I can't hear the snare either.

Gave it a 4 for effort, but really, the drums should be fixed. Bitchin' intro by the way, made it yourself or got it from somewhere?

696-dregon-696 responds:

thanks man just messing around with difrent things right now
and im absolutely no good and makeing comp genarated beats

but i got the sample from mcpeepants.net its like a athf fan site with audio clips
and eps.

Hmmm.

Gotta love when you get an idea and decide to work on it before it goes away, eh? The rhythm an the beat work together, giving it that -slight- spanish feeling to it. The string choice are alright IMO (...or is it a trumpet? Can't really tell), but the composition itself is great.

Nice job, save for the repetitiveness.

kelwynshade responds:

Thanks, yeah, it's very repetitive. Yes, they are trumpets, but it does sound kind of like strange strings as well.

This is one of those songs where I didn't truly intend to pour any time into. I need to do things like this more often since I usually tend to forget ideas often.

Hah.

FPC drums from the guy who suggested me not using them? Osnap son, osnap ;P That crash cymbal is what gave it away (and if it's not FPC, Jesus Christ, shoot me alive).

Still, the song's excellent. I absolutely LOVE the glitched drums. The lead that comes in sounds quite good and catchy. The variation in the song keeps it unpredictable and interesting, very nice job on that. The overall mood of the song is, .for a lack of better words, pretty.

My apologies for not being able to deliver a thorough review, that's simply because I find this song to be great. Thanks for review one of my tracks and sorry for returning the favour so late. Keep it up ^ ^

Suspended-3rd-Chord responds:

good ear ;) ... but yeah, I hate to be hypocrital when I review stuff, but it happens >_< I find a lot of flaws in my work but sometimes just cant fix them, or am too lazy. in this case, this track was made several months ago (but posted only one month ago), I should replace the default samples with something more original sounding.

thank you much for your words and good score! no worries at all about returning a review late or not thinking you are detailed enough (you're fine, I talk too much :D). i dont want people to feel obligated on returning reviews unless they want to-I just like listening and giving in depth feedback on other's works. Thanks again!

Sweet Lord...

I tip my hat off to you once again. It's truly a beautiful piece and there's a lot of variation in it. Great intro, but it gets amazing starting from 1:09. Whilst the strings seem to drown out part of the piano, it's not at all unhearable. Very good chords and melody, keep it up.

Very decent.

I disliked the synth you used for the melody a lot. The percussion came in too late and could have been much better. The kick needed to sound heavier and richer.

Overall, the song is far from being techno, but it was a decent attempt. You just need to practice more. A key factor in techno are the drums, as I said before, you should work a lot on that.

Keep it up~

Beautiful.

Very nice intro and beautiful piano. The melody is wonderful and blissful, I love it.

Not much to say other than that, it's really a good piece. The only problem is the length of the song, it's too short.

Nevertheless, keep it up :D Check out my latest classical track sometime.
