Bethesda called, they want their composer back.

Step responds:

Then what are you waiting for? You'd better be on your way there before you're late :3.

Thanks for reviewing!

RAWR

I was going to rant about how the song has a motif, not an alliteration, but then I realized what the guy below me meant. Dammit, I should read summaries more often.

Anyway, lovely tune. Great representation of asian music and excellent use of instruments.

Nice job.

Step responds:

Thanks! :3.

Although I don't blame you. My summaries aren't exactly... summaries >.>.

Thanks again for the review!

Hm...

No crit for you. Gratz on the weekly top 5.

Keep up, S.

Step responds:

Sure thing, G!

Thanks for reviewing, man :3.

Very good ambient.

My only suggestion would be lowering the volume of the rain just a little bit and adding a little bit more reverb to it.

Other than that, it's very good. Great atmosphere all-around.

Keep it up.

Blangonga responds:

Yeah maybe i'll tweak it later

Pretty cool.

Invest in a good drums software and learn a little about mixing and mastering tracks, you need it. It'd be a terrible to waste your guitar skills and creativity because of subpar sound quality.

I really like this. Good luck in the NGADM.

HighBallers responds:

thanks man, yeah i know dood...if i had some real equipment, i could seriously fuck shit up. but fuck it man

Rawr.

Piano volume too low at the beginning, hi hats a bit too loud, and crash samples are just...hideous. Guitar is effective and a real one would have been bitching.

All those issues aside, I love this song. Doesn't sound your a typical war theme, but it works as an action theme. The string staccatos (detaches?) are rather subtle but they work. I absolutely love the strings break at around 0:55. The piano lead is wonderful.

I'm curious. What headphones are you using? You seem to have a problem with mixing in your songs which could be because of your equipment.

And as usual, I can't write a super long review, but this'll do :3

Cheers!

Step responds:

Yay I can break up your review.

"Piano volume too low at the beginning"

Noted.

"hi hats a bit too loud"

Noted.

"and crash samples are just...hideous."

Noted :D. Yeah my volume levels need work and the crash samples will be changed.

"Guitar is effective and a real one would have been bitching."

Yep, I've just asked Pure-Metal-UTA, but I don't know if it's OK with him.

"All those issues aside, I love this song. Doesn't sound your a typical war theme, but it works as an action theme."

Glad you like it. Maybe when I make it longer I can give it a more 'war'-ish feel.

"The string staccatos (detaches?) are rather subtle but they work."

I might give them a bit more importance in the song, not too sure, but I want to keep them purely in the background nonetheless so I won't go crazy with the volume. At least I hope I won't.

And the strings are staccatos, free samples too :D.

"I absolutely love the strings break at around 0:55."

Yay, glad you like it :3.

"The piano lead is wonderful."

You gotta love Steinway B.

"I'm curious. What headphones are you using? You seem to have a problem with mixing in your songs which could be because of your equipment."

Nah, I'm just using speakers. My subwoofer isn't that good though but I'm pretty sure that the bad mixing in my songs is usually me being lazy.

"And as usual, I can't write a super long review, but this'll do :3"

Yep. Thanks for the great review!

Well...

There is a striking similarity between this and Lux Aeterna. I noticed it before I read the comments and had to relisten to Lux Aeterna to confirm this.

Some of the melodies are really similar, or at least the way they are delivered, particularly the intro and some parts after 2:00. Not that this is news to you or anything, but I really felt the need to point it out.

An epic track nonetheless. Good job?

Yeah, it's true. Darklight made the melodies, direct all Lux Aeterna complaints to him :D.

I think after all the reviews saying it sounds a lot like Lux Aeterna, maybe we might change the melody up a bit. I don't know, I'll ask Darklight.

Woo, thanks :D.

Oh hey!

This is pretty epic, but no, screw you, I'LL MAKE A ONE-SENTENCE REVIEW SO YOU DON'T GO ABOUT BREAKING DOWN MY SENTENCES IN YOUR RESPONSE and because I'm lame like that and don't actually have anything to say because this is pretty much great in my opinion and you should keep up the amazing work, disregarding the fact that I used too many "ands" and "because"s.

<3

Step responds:

Damn, I have nothing to break down.

You sly devil, you xD.

Hm...

Pure's right. You need to change the EQing on this. There's too much bass in it, the treble and the mids need to go up since it sounds saturated in bass.

Otherwise, it's a pretty little tune.

My headphones aren't bass-boosted by the way. It's your track.

IceMasterDlux responds:

Thanks for reviewing! Though I can never get enough bass, it's like bbq sauce! I guess not everyone feels the same, oh well. God bless!
